India opener Rohit Sharma on Monday took two places to earn five places in the ICC One Day Player Rankings after a spectacular performance in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. India made a 2-1 lead on Sunday with eight wickets in the final ODI match at Visakhapatnam. Rohit has got the advantage of two places and this is the first time that he has crossed 800 points. He has enjoyed a high ranking of career in third place in February 2016, after the second match in Mohali, after reaching the 825 mark in a private innings, he scored an unbeaten 208 in the one-day match with the third double century. The right hand finished the series as a top order with 217 runs at an average of 108.50 and a strike rate of 120.56.
Rohit's opening partner Shikhar Dhawan has named the player of the series, after reaching the 14th position after 168 runs, got one place, which includes 100 not out in Visakhapatnam. Dhawan played 68 runs in the second match and got along with Sharma with 115 runs opener.
In the bowlers, leg spinner Yusvendra Chahal reached the 28th position with 23 points. Sugandman's Kuldeep Yadav reached the 16th spot and reached career 56th position, while Allrounder Hardik Pandya got 10 slots and got the best chance to reach 45th place in the career.
For the tour, Upul Tharanga has achieved 15 places to reach 36th position in the batting along with his current level of 571 points in five places. Nirosho Dikewal has got seven places to take the 37th position.
