During 2017's "Justice League" post-production, Zack Snyder had to pull out of the project to deal with serious family trauma. This prompted the studio to hire director Joss Whedon to finish the film.
Joss Whedon has previously directed films like 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'. That film earned over a billion dollars for Marvel Studios, giving them creative freedom on "Justice League" after Snyder's exit.
Following the 2017 theatrical release of "Justice League," many fans were completely unhappy with the film and the DC cinematic universe. This sparked a massive cult of fans behind the release of Zack Snyder's version of the film. A campaign that lasted almost three years, ended with the release of "Zack Snyder's Justice League".
"Zack Snyder's Justice League" has a run time of four hours and two minutes, making it one of the longest films in cinematic history. This is partly due to the film being a director's cut allowing Snyder's vision to be fully realized without significant editing configuration.
The film is divided into six parts and gives the audience an authentic look into the life and background of each character. "Zack Snyder's Justice League" adds more screen time specifically for metahuman cyborg.
Joss Whedon's version of the film is known for cutting scenes for actors of color, most notably with the character Cyborg, which is one of the most important storylines in the entire film.

The film often establishes clearly meaningful connections and manages to follow through with them while still relating to the action at large.
I expect more action movies to take an artistic approach to relaying each of their character arcs in the near future. Now often, we see major blockbuster movies rely on heavy use of CGI and action-based plot points. Hopefully movies like "Zack Snyder's Justice League" will start turning the table towards a more artisan path.
