Remembering Election Day Eve: Larry Elder Addresses Homelessness, High Cost of Living in California

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. — It's been a long day for radio talk show host Larry Elder, who has led a field of people who want to replace Governor Gavin Newsom. At every four stops on this last day of campaigning, "Larry! Larry! Larry! Larry!" He was welcomed during chants by the supporters of the

To use a sports metaphor, this is the last inning! Oh! That is the matter. Last day of election campaign. His "Recall Express" bus is completing five days of campaigning, which includes 18 stops. The first stop was at Monterey Park.

In addition to talking about rising crime, homelessness, and the high cost of living in California, he talks about education and how parents should have choices.

He tells supporters, "Gloria and I support the school's choice."

On the COVID-19 vaccination, the 69-year-old said he had been vaccinated; Says he encourages people to get vaccinated and says, "However, many people feel very isolated for very logical and general-sensory reasons and do we still have no choice in America?"

Next stop: City of Los Angeles. The Elder makes his way to Philip's original deli.

To shake hands. picture taker. He talks to the cameras and looks for all the Democratic political stars who have come to California to support the governor.

"But, don't mind anyone, whether Obama, whether Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders... no one has spoken the following words, 'Governor Newsom did a good job for the people of California. It is," said the elder. "Nobody has. You won't hear that."

He personally appeals to the voters and says that the elections are wrong. “I think there is going to be a big jump in the last day or two and I think there will be a lot of people who will be very happy to have a new governor,” he says.

His understanding of the polls suggests he is not that close, but he is at the top of GOP territory, he says. "My understanding of the polls is that the point is in the margin of error."

And, then it left for San Pedro. And, with a picture-perfect background. He asked if he would accept the results of the vote.

He says, "... Of course I will. I'm going to win."

Voting closed at 8 pm on Tuesday. And then we'll see if he's right.
