India-UK Roadmap 2030: PM Modi and Boris Johnson meet, discuss these issues including Corona.

A virtual meeting took place on Tuesday evening between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson in relation to the India-UK Roadmap 2030. The Ministry of External Affairs has given information about this. The ministry said that through this meeting a new chapter in bilateral relations between the two countries has started. During this time important issues like connectivity, commerce, security, climate and health were discussed. The major achievement of this meeting is the announcement of increasing commerce participation.
There was also a discussion between the two leaders about the corona infection. Both leaders acknowledged that the Corona transition is a major challenge in the world. To deal with this, the two countries will fight step by step. At the same time, PM Modi thanked Boris Johnson for Britain's involvement in the fight against Corona.
ROADMAP LOUNCH 2030-:
A roadmap 2030 was also launched during the meeting, which will help strengthen Indo-UK cooperation and trade over the next 10 years. The British PM recognized that India is the largest market in the world. He announced to invest £ 1 billion (about Rs 10,000 crore) in India before the meeting. The meeting discussed the new business opportunities between the two leaders and the opening of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Co-production and co-development of defense equipment were discussed in this meeting. Both countries have given the confidence to help each other in this area. According to a statement from the UK Prime Minister's Office, this trade and investment will create more than 6,500 jobs in the UK. The package includes new Indian investment of £ 53.3 million in the UK. This is expected to generate more than 6,000 jobs in key sectors such as health and technology.
According to the statement, this includes an investment of 24 million Great Britain pounds (GBP) from the Serum Institute. The investment will be made in the vaccine business and new sales office in the UK. It is estimated to generate over one billion dollars of new business.
